Home Is Our Sanctuary helps Arizona families make the homeschooling ideal a reality. We run expert-led classes, camps, and field trips from our home base at the Maricopa Library and Cultural Center, and families join us from across the Phoenix area, Casa Grande, and beyond. We are a ClassWallet vendor, so ESA families can pay directly.

We are not a full curriculum. We help you add expert-led classes and workshops on top of what you already do at home. We are not a parent-run co-op either. Our instructors are artists, engineers, tradespeople, and entrepreneurs who do this for a living and love teaching kids.
Think of us as the part of homeschooling that is easier with a community behind it.
Classes run year-round with rolling enrollment. There is no semester or end date. Your student stays enrolled until you choose to withdraw. Daytime, evening, and short-series options are built around homeschool schedules.
Ages 5 and up, beginners welcome. Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00 AM at the Maricopa Library and Cultural Center. Immersion-based, real conversation from the first class, taught by a native speaker. Monthly subscription. ESA ClassWallet vendor.
Ages 5 and up, no experience needed. Thursdays at 11:00 AM at the Maricopa Library and Cultural Center. Drawing, painting, and mixed media with all supplies included. Monthly subscription. An after-hours PM option also runs.
Ages 8 to 12. Tuesdays at 11:00 AM at the Maricopa Library and Cultural Center. LEGO Education Science kits included. Build, test, and explain real science, aligned to Arizona grade 3 to 5 standards. Monthly subscription.
Ages 8 to 12. Fridays, 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, at Alta Climbing Gym Gilbert, 3193 S. Ranch House Ct., Gilbert, AZ 85297. An 8-week program, billed in two payments. Engineering challenges with LEGO plus rock climbing. Currently waitlist.
Ages 5 to 12. Six weeks, Monday through Thursday, 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, at the Maricopa Library and Cultural Center. Outdoor skills, science, art, and a lot of dirt. Your child comes home with a portfolio, new friends, and a summer they will remember. ESA eligible.
Ages 6 and up. One-day outdoor intensives: fire starting, knots and shelters, natural dye play. Your child walks away able to start a fire, tie a knot that holds, and build a shelter that stands. ESA eligible.
